Does anyone know if I have to have my supplemental applications for schools done by the time I esubmit?

If they're 'custom questions' within PTCAS then you cannot e-submit without answering them. With supplementals being sent directly to the school, go ahead and e-submit, then you have 4-5+ weeks before your application even reaches your designated programs.

It depends on the school. Many schools do incorporate their supplemental essay within PTCAS. Those must be complete before submitting. When you declare your schools, PTCAS will prompt you to complete any supplemental essays for that school. Check your school list.

Yea I know about the supplemental essays, but I heard there's also supplemental applications you have to complete on the school's website for certain schools. So should I be completing those soon as well?

I have spoken with a few schools and they all said that the supplemental materials/applications can be sent in whenever. The sooner the better so that once you do e-submit they will already have everything required of you.

As for the custom questions...I think once you e-submit, or attempt to, it will show up that a custom question is required and you must fill it out before finalizing the submission.

Again, it depends on the school. Some schools have a separate deadline for supplementals that all students must complete while many schools only accept supplementals when invited to do so. I advise that you get better acquainted with the application process and requirements of each school you're applying to. It can make or break you. Good luck!

AGREED-some of my schools had a deadline for the sup / 2ndary app. others it was and invite if you met the requirements and moved forward in the process. ......some schools required app through the grad office in addition to the PTCAS or program app.KNOW YOUR SCHOOL/PROGRAM
