When schools ask for "optional" comments such as "Would you like to provide the Admissions Committee with additional information?" is it encouraged to do so?

What else can I write about? Ex. Is it recommended to talk about my low verbal reasoning score in comparison to my sciences. Or should I stick to things that highlight my unique qualities and desire to succeed in medicine?

Thanks for the time. Much appreciated.

(And YES, I know I'm pretty late before anybody comments on that issue haha.)

It is so that you can explain anything negative on your app. So if you feel you can justify a lower verbal score then you would discuss it there. I feel like you could use that space for more significant explanations than your MCAT verbal though. I always used this section on an application
