hi everyone.

i'm sorry if this question is repeated, but i couldn't find it in the search. and i apologize if these questions seem dumb, but i really need help.

each school tells u to send supplemental materials when they contact u. for example, rec letters, official transcript, official DAT.

for rec letters and official transcript, are u suppose to send the same copy as the ones u sent to AADSAS or are they referring to the ones AADSAS sends?

for official DAT, i know ADA sends it...i guess thats what they are reffering to when they tell u to send it. however, if they want it in the supplementals....would it be bad if it was sent earlier before the schools contacted u?

For your DAT scores all you can really do is just check with the ADA and make sure there sent out. For your supplementals, for the rec letters if you had them send on your AADSAS then dont worry that takes care of that...or at least it did for me.....

You don't have to send rec letters if you send them through AADSAS; some schools give you a choice to send them through AADSAS or directly to the admissions office, and some schools will only accept them through AADSAS. Unless your school says specifically not to use AADSAS, it's part of what you pay for with AADSAS.

As far as the transcript, I am under the impression that AADSAS does not forward a copy to the dental schools, so if they specifically request it, I think you need to ask your current school to send an official transcript directly to the dental school.

Every once in a while a school will require a LOR from someone you didn't already think of - spiritual advisor, fifth science professor, undergrad academic advisor. These should be sent to the school specifically requesting something which is essentially only for that school. Everything else would ideally go through AADSAS.
