Right away, if they want it right away.
Don't think it matters if you send it with or without the app there.

Write your aadsas number on the notes line on the check. Also if these are not your checks (using parents) then write your name. Or if there are two names on the check (one is your name) then circle your name.

even if they specify that they want the supplemental application right away too, i can send in the check separately (not with supplementals)

Not sure about that, but if you do have a supplemental that is long and has essay questions then hurry up and do it in a week. Most supplementals are not long, they just ask you to list your courses and name, address. The stuff from aadsas.

I don't think a school will cancel your application because they have not received your check in 2 weeks. They just won't look at your application until they get the fee.

thanks for the reply, i decided to just mail them separately

last question: for those schools that do not have a fee card/sheet to go along with the payment, do I just mail the check by itself? with my AADSAS ID on it? how bout dentpin?

For those schools that I just sent checks to, I just typed up a short letter saying "hey, here's my check" and included my AADSAS #, dentpin, and contact info. I also put my AADSAS and dentpin on the check itself.
