do schools review your application before sending out supplementals? or do they just send it to everyone that applies? i just got novas and it seems like a lot of people here did too.

The cynic in me says the supplemental is merely wrapping for the secondary application fee.

The optomist in me says the supplemental is an achievement, a passing of some test of worthiness and moving into a high echelon in the admissions process.

Most schools just give them out. It's just another step.

can i find out what these look like before hand? esp. so i can give my dentist a heads up about disclosing more of his info if they ask about dental hours?

A lot of them are pretty standard. UCSF and UCLA send out links to their supplementaries later on and those are pretty lengthy and more involved.

Try the UNLV website; they should have a supplementary up.
