if the limit is 500 words or less...what's a good length to shoot for? should I be as close to 500 as possible? or just write whatever and leave it at like 350 words, rather than bsing another 100+ words?

It should be as long as necessary (within 500 words) to fulfill the requirements. Try to be as concise as possible, hitting all your points👍

All of my supp app essays were about 1/2 of maximum length. It wasn't hard to make my point within that amount and I didn't want to come across as a blowhard.

that's how i feel too...I'm pretty sure they'll be able to see right through meaningless bs, so I was hesitant to write more, just to make it longer. I just need to go back and reread to make sure it's concise and says everything i want it to say. I'll probably embellish certain parts a little more, so maybe it'll end up closer to the 500 word limit anyways. Thanks for your input everyone!
