****************Support Group for WAITLISTED applicants*****************

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I think that if a school interviews you, then they see if you as worthy candidate for the class. The problem is that there are too many people applying and not enough seats in the classes. Unfortunately those with the highest GPA+DAT (typically) get in first. At least thinking about the process that way makes me feel better.

I'm waiting on USC with my 19 DAT + 3.3 GPA, hoping that with all the people who have another first choice, enough seats will open up to give some of the middle-of-the-pack predents a chance.

Not sure what my strategy will be next year if I don't make it this time (my second time applying). It's frustrating waiting, while at the same time trying to focus energy towards next cycle. I can try to raise the DAT and do some volunteering, but that's about all I can think of.

I would like to know YES or NO before May, at least, so I can move on with life. These stories of people getting into a school the day before class are encouraging, but make you realize the waiting game (and the anxiety) isn't OFFICIALLY over until school starts.

Hang in there everyone.
