Hey guys,
So SURF applications at my undergrad are due in about a week or so. Assuming I get into SURF, the limitations are that you cannot take any summer classes. But you do get a very nice stipend 😍
To me, this is kindof a big downside, especially since I had a very rough Fall 2012 semester and would like to get my grades and GPA back into control (I'm a sophomore right now). I just thought about not doing SURF today, and it really does seem appealing especially since I'll be able to study for my MCAT a lot more effectively. SURF at my school is close to a 45-50 hour workweek. If I don't do SURF this summer, I could in all likely do it next summer, assuming I get in (Summer 2014).
So would you advise not doing SURF this summer, and instead taking summer classes, shadowing, volunteering, and working on my MCAT?
