Surgeon admits marking his initials on patients' livers during transplant ops

I don't even know what to say to this one. What do you all think?

Reminds me of this:

Completely narcissistic and irresponsible move. Seems like something a 5 year old would do

I found it interesting that a lot of the media used the word “carved” his initial into their liver. Invoking a butcher slicing up meat instead of a danity laser that’s commonly used to mark areas and normally heals with time.

Still not cool though, it’s surgery not graffiti

I know multiple surgeons who "mark" their patient in some way. Either a screw that's directed or placed in a way that allows them to recognize their work, or the way they do fixation/closure, etc. No one I know is idiotic enough to do initials, however. It's a patient, not a canvas.
