what books do you recommend for someone about to start the surgery clerkship?

also, what helped as far as the shelf?

I havent started my surgury rotation yet, but here at UTMB, everybody swears by Surgical Recall and Surgery PreTest. HOwever, ask some upperclasspersons what they found useful at YOUR school. That's what I did. Hopefully, they're right!
