Hi all,

A quick question.

What is the surgical equivalent of Harrison's Internal Medicine.. by that I mean what is the undisputed king of general surgical texts?

Is it Sabiston? Or is there another title that deserves the honor?

Thanks.

There is no King of Surgical Texts.

The "court" would contain Sabiston, Greenfield, Cameron and Schwartz. The ACS published a book as well which is widely used and many like Mastery of Surgery.

Outside of the above, other books pale in popularity.

On SDN Greenfield, Cameron and Sabiston are mentioned most frequently.
