Is there a list of cases a surgical oncologist is proficient in/ able to perform after completing a fellowship?
And is there an overlap for example I've seen breast surgical oncology by breast surgeons, colorectal cancer oncology taken by colorectal surgeons, Whipples done by HPB surgeons, thoracic cancer by thoracic surgeons, Urology, orthopedic and Gynecological cancers by those respective specialties. So what does a Surgical oncologist get the left overs? Assuming that the specialties are better at those operations than a general surgical oncologist? Or can they perform all oncology operations from these fields as well?
