Apparently Surgisphere has a new book out for the ABSITE. How did I find out? One of my co-residents bought it off amazon, and asked me if I'd tried it before.

That in itself is not that interesting, since they put out new garbage all the time. What is interesting is that now we finally have an actual name to associate with this product. I won't post it in here, but it's pretty humorous. As a matter of fact, the first author goes on to review his own book....he gives it an excellent review, of course.

Also, looking back, that same popped up during a few questionable reviews of a previous surgisphere gem.

Oh, by the way, since it's been a topic of discussion recently.....this is a Duke surgical resident....and the book is endorsed by Duke's chairman apparently....

This has been discussed in length on SDN before....although a lot of the stuff has probably been deleted since the surgisphere guys keep coming on here with new screen names and promoting their product.......

Cat's out the bag.....I love it....

Nothing is truly ever deleted (ie, its a soft delete...I can still see the deleted posts). Suffice it to say that the author's name is not unknown to me or SDN.

Interesting link to his comment in regard to my post on Amazon; I had not seen that. Thanks for the verification that a review did exist in my name...I saved a screen shot of it somewhere around here...😀

I don't think I like this Desai. He did so much in such a short period of time...There's something fishy about the guy. It looks like he's about to run for president

Sapan Desai's tears cure cancer....too bad he's never cried....ever.

Anyway, nothing against someone doing well for themselves...and he definitely has a lot of accomplishments....unfortunately, writing a good ABSITE review book is not one of them.....

Also, from my personal experience in the matter....making your own website is really asking people to make fun of you.....making your own Wikipedia page, well...thankfully I have no experience with that.

One thing I do appreciate is him taking cred as the author, instead of publishing a book by "Surgisphere." Maybe the latest one is okay...I'll ask my co-resident in a couple weeks what he thinks....

That's nothing....look at the intro to his personal website (link through Wikipedia).
Oh, good God. Just found this and it's truly unbelievable. Maybe his friends made it to make fun of him...that's how ridiculous it is. There's even some techno mix of some lines from Star Wars. You can make YOUR OWN ACCOUNT to see all the content. What a gem. I'd be ashamed of myself.

hilarious. unfortunately was not aware of his amazing prowess as i saw him scuttling around Duke in white pants and a short white coat.

Love your comment on Desai's review of his own book. Hilarious.

Interesting....as I go back to the amazon page, his review is now gone (as is my comment), which is okay since it's a bogus review. However, more interesting is that the link to the reviewer himself has a new name as well...he's still a "Book Worm" but now he's changed his name to K. Pali.

K. Pali or "KD" - guess whose son has the same initials? Although I can only find a review for an elliptical trainer and not the book.
