Hey everyone! (Sorry to disturb all of you potential D1s from the current ongoing cycle hype)
I'm currently looking into programs to apply to, as application cycles are opening up soon. However, I'm pretty much at a loss as to what I should apply to (I don't really have high hopes for SMDEP). I've looked at a couple of research programs like JHU SIP, but most of these programs seem to be geared more so towards students reaching for MD/MD-PhDs instead of DDS/DMD's (aside from gateway programs). In this case, would it be looked upon unfavorably to do these programs, and if so, should I dedicate my summers towards shadowing and volunteering instead?
