I'm looking for a resource for trainees to use to learn suturing skills and techniques (primarily for lacerations) in addition to on-the-job training and practice. It can be web-based or in another format, and doesn't have to be free. It should be beyond-the-basics and possibly include some advanced material. The goal is to give them the knowledge and confidence to suture and manage a variety of lacerations.

I appreciate your ideas! Thank you.

Two websites I like:

lacerationrepair.com - By EM physician with an interest in this, pretty good basics and beyond

practicalplasticsurgery.org - Apply some plastics knowledge, learn more about wound healing and other things, useful for basic flaps and Z-Plasty stuff, maybe more global health relevant.

Hardest thing for me was finding a good material to practice on, I'd love suggestions for that. Another good thing to have people focus on is the analgesia aspect-- regional blocks FTW.

Other than the classic grocery store bought chicken parts or pigs' feet?
