These are the schools I'm thinking about applying to. I would feel better if I let you guys check over this list before I pay over a thousand bucks haha. I am a Louisiana state resident and I have a 4.0 GPA and a 21/20/20 (PAT/TS/AA).

4. Louisville
5. LSU
6. Tufts
7. U of Detroit
8. UNLV
9. NYU
10. Case
11. Penn
12. Pittsburgh
13. Tennessee

Are there any schools I should add or drop?

Oh no, I meant your stats were good enough that you didn't need to apply there (unless you'd like to attend one of them). I figured those were your safety schools because of their cost.

Agreed. NYU, Western, MWU, UNLV all sort of seem like backups...like almost guaranteed interviews. And the dollars aren't awesome either. I think you only need 1 or 2 of those max.

Yeah, possibly replacing some of these private ones with OOS friendly state schools? You have a good shot at them.

no need for more schools. my guess is (and im assuming you can formulate a reasonable response to "hi, how are you?") you're going to get accepted to most of those schools.

I know. I'm very indecisive. I would like to narrow it down as much as I can, I just don't know which ones i should delete or replace!

3, 8, and 9 are out of your league. With a 4.0 GPA shoot for the stars, not the moon.

I hope my post does not come across as a debbie-downer, but this is what I have to say: Stats do not make you too good for a school, nor do they exclude you from others (sans extreme examples).

From personal experience, the idea of a safety school is foolish. I tend to believe in Tufts syndrome. I never heard back from my "safety" schools - never even got interviews from them. It was the schools with better average stats that asked for interviews lol. My reason for saying this is that some people choose to apply to certain schools based on stats, and I find this to be a poor decision variable. Find schools that are cost effective and OOS friendly. Don't apply to schools if your GPA and DAT are way above their average. Apply to schools where your app would be "average" IMO.

Congrats on having such a high GPA with good DAT scores. I'm sure you'll get into at least one of these schools if not multiple ones. I really loved UoP. ;p
