Switching Neurology programs in the middle of residency

I know that ABPN has the restriction that 2 years of the 3 neuro years has two be continuous. But there is an exception that they allow switch in between , say at 1.5 years , if the program directors assure that alll the required rotations will be completed by the patient.

Has anyone got any experience on this.
