I am currently a Nursing major, but I'm in my last semester of pre-requisite courses before I get to apply to the program...To put it blunt, Nursing isn't really what I want to do. I am more interested in Medical Science, and I would like to be a Clinical Laboratory Science major. Seeing as how CLS major has many of the pre-med pre-reqs as well, it will fulfill medical school requirements. Problem is since I'm deciding on this now: should I drop out my current Nursing pre-req courses NOW almost 3 weeks within the semester and add the other classes associated w/CLS? The drop/add period deadline is this Monday, but I fear I will be so left behind that I won't be able to catch up.

Try reaching out to your advisor and the professors who teach the classes you'd be switching into. They might be able to give you an idea of how feasible a switch at this point might be.

I was in your same position, nursing major, but decided on pre-med. Luckily, I realized this after my first semester of college. My advice to you is that before you make your switch, be certain that this career change is what you truly want. If it is, don't look back
