I am a first year Pathology resident but I'm fairly certain that I will be switching to Neurology. If anyone out there has switched specialties before, I would really, really like to hear about your experience. Were people supportive of your switch? What was the time-line of events from telling your program director to re-interviewing? What kind of questions did they ask in the re-interview process (besides the obvious question of why you were switching)?
Any advice that you have to share is appreciated. Thanks.
