hello all,

anyone here applying to South Western in Oklahoma? I havent seen any responses on that school, and was looking for some thoughts. I know many people from North Texas have applied. I tried for Spring and they told me to try back in fall, since I did better in the Pcat the second time. So if any one has heard anything or has any comments for this school, please reply.

I know of myself and two others and no one has heard anything yet.

I got a letter by post yesterday, saying that my application is complete and what classes I am missing, and they would let me know if it goes to an interview. I got one of these last semester too, I hope this one is better.

any one else have any insight?

I applied as well. I have recieved my letter from the university but nothing else. I am glad to here it is more like march before they send them out. I was starting to sweat it a little.

nah, nothing to worry about yet. I know they are real hands on and like to contact everyone by post, so that does take a little longer. I think they are in the process of reviewing this week, so they might start contacting people by next week for interviews. that might only be the really great picks and OK residents, cause they call them first.
but I hope to hear something too.

my friend who is applying for fall, called and Mrs Schultz said they are looking at the Summer 2008 applications right now. So I am hoping interviews are coming up soon.

I too, sent in my application for SWOSU, I heard back from the college amazingly fast, within a week or two, but I still haven't heard anything from the college of pharmacy.

well here's the deal for me, I put my application in for Summer 08, I got a letter saying that I didnt get in for summer and that they are putting my application in for Fall 08, and I would hear something back in early april. So I am assuming they are looking at summer candidates now, and they will move to the fall applicants in about 2 more weeks. So hang tight, we still have a little more time to go..

So they automatically move your application to the next semester if you don't get in?

that is how they did it for summer to fall, I dont think the do that for other semesters. I tried to get in this spring and didnt make it, so they asked to send a letter to reinstate my application, and I did. you dont have to fill everything out again, just a letter saying you want to re-apply.
from what I hear they only take about 15 people during summer sessions, so it may be a better chance for me in fall. maybe...

Last year I applied at SWOSU & OU, I received my invite to interview at SWOSU on March 12, 2007 and the interviews last year were held from March 31 until April 17. So hang in there, I bet you hear soon. It was May before I got my acceptance letter last year to SWOSU.

I called the college a couple of days ago. You know to check in and all . Mrs.schutlz was really nice and checked my file and said at first glance everything seemed in order. She also let me know they wouldn't be sending letters out until after spring break. I got the impression all interviews will be in April. Kinda sounda like they were running behind a little or maybe they are just trying to kill us with the anticipation.

I think last year SWOSU interviewed around 80 for the fall term and accepted aprox 35-40.? Good Luck and Hope you hear soon.

the last I heard from them, and from what others are posting, they said they will contact people starting in April. So hang in there a little long before you go nutz. That might also mean a week or two into April, since they require a little more time..

I am a Texas resident and I am going to go to Texas Tech. I called and declined my interview at SWOSU today. The letter said that interviews were being conducted from April 7-18. Good luck! 🙂

Sorry I don't frequent these forums. The interview was good. I felt like it was solid, not amazing but solid. The 18th is the last interview day. Letters go out on MAY 5. 240+ applied interviewed 70-80 and they are accepting 42 or 43 can't remember. Now the waiting game again

You should have gotten something. They are only interviewing through the 18th if i understand it correctly. Maybe give Mrs. schultz a call.
