Our trusty dusty mechanical Baxter syringe pumps are apparently dying and replacement parts are hard to find. So they've bought these crappy electronic Smiths Medical Medfusion Syringe Pumps that have a clunky slow digital interface. Anyone have a favorite syringe pump they can recommend? Mainly for propofol infusion with a 60cc syringe. One guy here uses alfentanil and remifentanil drips.

The Alaris ones are awesome.

The Smiths pumps are fine.

The Alaris are fine also.

The Harvard Clinical pumps have a fancy color lcd display but the ones we had broke down withing a few weeks.

I would stick with the Smiths since you got them.

Why is it that the Baxter pumps are by far the best pumps that exist yet they are discontinued? I think a group of us should get together and start making similar pumps that we can sell?

I suggest the magnetic plates are a must, like the really old Baxter pumps.

My beloved baxter infusOR pumps are disappearing. So simple, so nice. There's a reason heavily used examples are going for 3K on Ebay.

the Baxter model was pretty sweet, we got these new Braun "Perfusor space" digital syringe pumps that are pretty robust and easy to use.
