Hi all. I'm giving a lecture soon on pelvic fractures and I'm trying to find a good, easy to use system to look at pelvic AP x-rays for non-radiologists. I've been able to find a system to evaluate for acetabular fractures, but not a general system to look at the entire pelvis. Anyone have a quick and dirty system of evaluating for fractures to the pelvis they'd be willing to share?

Thanks!

Im not a msk guy but some good teaching points would be looking at the lines (ex. ilieopectinieal line, etc..) and also knowing the mechanism of injury. LIke knowing the vertical fractures vs the lateral impact cuz the pelvis is a ring. U break it in one spot, then as a radioogist u need to look at the other "known" area where it would be broken. Sorry Im not much help, I suck at MSK but from some of the pelvic teaching I got in residency, i recall knowing the mechanisms and anatomy to be the most helpful. Also, u would be surprised how much fractures u can miss on plainfilm , thats why everyone will get a CT.
