Its scary how fast all the things youve pushed aside to take the DATs come crashing back as soon as you walk out of the testing center! Needless to say, Ive been bogged down by work, school, life in general..so I apologize for not posting this earlier.
First off, a huge HUGE thank you to Uracil and Hirumiana you guys rock and you know why!! Thank you for EVERYTHING!! *bear hug* Another set of thanks goes to anyone and everyone whos made a post, written a PM or a comment thats helped in any way. Thank you! This forum is an amazing resource!
Despite what happens with me from here on, for those who have yet to take the DAT heres a bit of advice:
**Believe in yourself! No matter what goes on in this forum or what you hear from others - keep your goal in sight and believe that you can do it! Thats the only way. Clear your mind and see it through completely.
***** Push yourself to the limit and go further. You dont know what your true potential is until you put yourself to the test and go beyond the level you are comfortable with. Trust me, it makes all the difference!
*** When taking the test, FOCUS!! I am not kidding about this one. Dont think about the previous question, dont think about your score, dont get distracted by the guy next to you hammering away on the keyboard, just FOCUS like youve never before on the question in front of you. Do that with every question and before you know it youll coast through the whole thing and it will be over!
Heres my damage:
I am definitely not one of the 28s or 30s but all in all I am okay with what Ive got.
RC got the stocks/trading passage, which I had a complete wtf! moment on. The equations and total gibberish jargon (to me) threw me off. I know I messed up on that one, but the neuroscience passage right after saved me I didnt need to read the passage, I was able to answer most of the questions on my own.
QR totally surprised by this. I thought I was doing great w/ the timing and even correctly answering the questions. I wish I knew how many *questions* I missed maybe the particular test I was taking other people scored fairly high in? not sure..
PAT I was expecting hard, but wow it was intense. Do as many practices you can get your hand on.
