Im going to be a pharmacy student next year at Albany College of Pharmacy and HS. They require a tablet PC and is providing a program that offers an HP 2730p tablet for close to 1600.

I dont know much about the different tablets and which is best for the occasion. All i know is that I really dislike HP. I have a HP tx2000 and right after the warrantee expired I had problems with the screen, wireless adapter and a bunch of other ones. the touch pen isn't even accurate anymore, even after calibration. People I know seems to have a lot of problems with HP as well and switch to other manufacturers.

I've looked into all the different brands of tablets Dell, Lenovo, Toshibi, etc. but I don't know what's better and how given that I will be a pharm student.

Slickdeals also has the HP tm2t for roughly 700!! although i hate hp, 700 is a bargain.

Does anyone have any experience with these things or provide any insight on the best tablet for students?

If you have a tablet, what brand, and how do you like it?

Thanks

i have the 2730p right now, with the 1.86ghz 6mb l2 cache centrino vpro and 3 gb or ram on windows 7 64bit. it runs pretty good, battery life isn't bad either. the tablet works good -- it writes really well. the keyboard is good, it's pretty sturdy. i've only had a it for a few days but i think i'm i'll be taking it to texas a&m pharm school next fall.

i also have an IBM thinkpad x60 tablet -- never had an issue with it either. i like the IBM's but they are pricey
