So I have 40 credits that I will be classifying as Allied health (Medical Lab tech courses, all lower division with no science prereqs and out of the school of health sciences) however I am worried that AMCAS may re-classify them as BCPM.

My sGPA The way I have it is a 3.99, but if worse comes and they reclassify all 40 credits then my sGPA will be 3.74. Still not bad, but quite a bit lower.

I will be submitting my application on June 1 so at most the reclassification would delay verification by a couple days. Should I submit my primary application to just one school where the GPA difference won’t matter and then tailor my school list after verification?

You can't remove a school once you've paid the primary fee for it.

You can add a school at any time regardless of verification status (as long as it is before the deadline for that specific school).

On a side note, tailoring your school list based on how AMCAS chooses to classify your classes seems bizarre.

It isn’t directly based on how AMCAS classifies my classes, it is based on the types of schools an sGPA of 3.99 vs a 3.75 would be (taking in to account my 3.66 cGPA...)

What are the course titles?
For example, i had a course in the nursing department, so i put it under nursing, but AMCAS saw “pathophysiology” and moved it to BCPM

It's not as simple as that. I'm sure schools at what courses they are and when you took them. It they aren't med school pre-reqs and it they were taken early on (as compared to later) than a 3.75sGPA isn't anything to necessarily worry about.

Hematology, clinical immunology, clinical chemistry, urine and body fluids, intro to lab medicine, Blood Banking and clinical microbiology.

All were 100 level classes taken like 6 years ago...

Yeah i think most of these are gonna end up BCPM.
Since I will be submitting my military transcript as well as they appear on there, maybe they will cut some slack knowing they were military classes? lol

Haha well you can hope.

Classify them as you see fit and let AMCAS do the rest.

It won't hurt to wait since you're submitting so early. Having certainty before adding all of your schools may benefit your mental health.
Being that my last 2 years are all sciences of 4.0, it will definitely benefit my mental state, but will it really benefit the application much 3.75 v 3.99 sGPA (cGPA of 3.66)

Probably. Who knows, but if it doesn't hurt to find out then why chance it? You literally have nothing to lose by waiting a few days to add more schools. Especially since apps won't be transmitted to schools by then.

Apply to a SINGLE school for validation, then add more after validatiom
And the 4 day delay won’t affect me whatsoever.

Do you think the results will drastically shift my school list (assuming all else equal/sufficient)

You said you're submiting on June 1. Apps aren't sent to schools until roughly June 28th. HOW WILL A 4 DAY DELAY (of adding more schools) AFFECT YOU?

Gonnif can answer the second part of your question better, but I know you've been looking at MSAR. You've seen the median gpa ranges, right? A higher gpa can only help, and may potentially shift your list. . . but, I wanna hear what gonnif says.

That is what I am looking to hear as well.

And no, I know the 4 days will have absolutely no effect.

I have seen the MSAR means go up. There are 3 schools in particular where I have seen my cGPA drop below their 10%. If I have a 3.99 sGPA and my MCAT turns out as well as my AAMC FLs then I will still be applying to these schools.

If MCAT is at 50th%, sGPA is at 90th% and cGPA is at <10th%...Maybe my extensive ECs (Military, clinical etc) will matter, but if sGPA is low, then meh
