I am wondering if I should take A&P 1 and A&P 2 together? These would be my only classes and I work a part time job 24 hr a week which I can study for about 18 hrs out of the 24 hrs plus I will be studying for the MCAT lightly.

I want to take the MCAT in Jan so I need to get these courses in. I had plan to take A and P 1 during the summer but my father gave my bad advice as usual, do not know why I listen to him.

FYI:
I work as a CNA during the night from 8 pm to 8 am and my patient goes to bed by 11 pm so I have study time from 11 pm to 8 am which the exception of my patient needing assistance to go to the restroom.

I took the MCAT before and got a 24 (8/8/8).

I wouldn't....

Its also not necessary to take AandP before the MCAT, so I wouldn't worry about it for that reason.

If you truly want to do better on the MCAT, whatever you were going to take...take one less and study for the MCAT that much more.

Content wise, I don't think its too difficult though. A&P varies a lot with teacher and school. Some places its really tough, others not as much. Concepts would be fine to take them simultaneously so if you really want to....

After taking the MCAT and even when studying I felt a lack a basic understanding of the topics that why I want and need to take more courses.

Biochem, Genetics and other upper-level science courses are a better bet if you want to work on applying this content. However, a lack of BASIC understanding is that - a weak foundation that you will need to remedy before going on to more difficult things. Anatomy is memorization and physiology won't have you applying things as much as those aforementioned courses will.

A&P won't help you on the MCAT. Take an upper level physiology course, biochem, or genetics instead. Or just simply refresh yourself on the topics you don't feel confident about with Mcat review materials.

I took Animal Physiology already, my uni does not have Human Physiology.

And I already took Biochem, Genetics, Molecular and Cell Biology.
