My terms runs in a quarter-term system and offers calculus III as the end of the school's calculus sequence. I'm having a hard time finding additional science credits to take this term and was wondering if it is worth considering taking it. It isn't required for my major, although I am generally interested in math (A's in calc i/ii). Also, taking it will open an entire ~40 credits of science courses to be available to me to take next year.
Is it worth taking if interested?

There is nothing wrong with taking courses purely because you want to, as long as you don't have any other requirements to fill during that period. Additionally, it is important to consider your GPA. If you think you will do well/decent in the course, enjoy it, and just need some credits, go for it.

Are you asking if it will benefit you or if you should spending your time on that?
If your asking if it will benefit you, probably not. Are you solid A's in everything you take? If not then you would want to secure that first. Also there is a value in classes other than Sciences. Languages, etc. could benefit you plus may be a breath of fresh air.

Here is my thought process.
Are you solid A's? YES
Do you have plenty of bio courses? YES
Are you completely prepared for the MCAT or have you already aced it? Double YES
Do you have a well-rounded education? YES
Do you want to take it as opposed to something else? YES

Go for it!

Yes, if you got As in the first 2 you won't struggle in 3. My school did it the same and I regret not finishing the entire second year of math.

I found that the end of Multivariable Calc was much more difficult than anything from Calc I/II. Just my experience though.

Calculus III isn't multivariable calculus at my institution.
Thanks for the input everyone. Your advice coupled with the fact that ratemyprof highly recommends the calc III teacher available next term is going to make me enroll.

if it won't be a prob and you think you can get an A do it....That easy.

Multivariable cal has lot of abstract stuff and could be difficult. Talk to other students about the instructor because it may not be plug and chug. Based on the info you present I think you will be fine.

yes. also since you are on quarters if a school you apply to later on requires 1 year of math, schools will often convert in such a way that 3 quarters = 2 semesters. so that is also a benefit of taking the course.

You have multi variable as calc4 right? If so you should continue to breeze through three.
