I am likely going to be pursuing my medical degree at an international university, non-Canadian, non-Caribbean. However, it is highly likely that I will eventually practice in the US.
For obvious reasons most countries do not prepare their students for the USMLE-1. Wanting to practice in the United States I will need to pass this step of the USMLE. The good news; however, is that I will not be going to med school until 2011 so I can still take courses here in the US that will help prepare me from the USMLE-1. Although, I do understand that I will be doing a lot of independent studying as well.
I need to know which courses I should take and where I should/can take them? Ideally, I would take courses with medical students or courses that are very similar.
Thanks. Feel free to PM me as well. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
