I am strongly considering taking a year off during my 3rd and 4th years to do one or all of the following:
1.) Learn spanish/do Latin American clinical work (6 months)
2.) Cardiology research(my interest) here at my med school(6 months)..which would continue into my fourth year I'm assuming
...is this a feasible goal for one year's time?, and will this greatly or only moderately increase my residency application standing/status?--though the latter is not a huge concern of mine. Thanks Has anyone else taken a year off?
