Hey all! So I graduated college in 2013, got a my masters this past May, and will be applying to medical school next year. I'm currently employed full-time as a research assistant, while also doing some volunteering on the side. With that being said, I was wondering what your thoughts are on taking an extra non-science course this coming spring so I can get a non-science LOR from that professor? It's been a few years since I took my last non-science course and I doubt that any of my professors would remember me. Plus, my work lets me take classes for free at university's extension school so paying for it wouldn't be an issue.
Now, I know that I can ask for a waiver for this requirement so I turn in a letter from my employer or something similar. There's also only a handful of schools that require a letter from a non-science professor for a class I've taken, but a few of those schools are schools that I would want to apply to.
Any thoughts? Thanks!
