I'm taking these classes all WITHOUT the labs and I just want to know if it would be doable or not? I'm taking it along with 3 other easy classes. I'm kind of hoping that some of the material from all 3 classes will overlap making it not as difficult. This is my first semester taking 3 sciences in 1 semester.

You should be fine as long as you stay on top of everything. Those "easy" classes may be easy to forget about and cause you to miss work. The lack of labs is a plus.

I am taking microbial physiology, biochemistry II, cell biology, physics and its lab. I also work 35 hours on the weekends. Its doable because there is so much overlap, plus bio-chem helps with the overarching ideas.

I'm taking human physiology, gen chem II, and molecular genetics all with labs as well as 1 non science course. It hasn't been too bad so far, it just sucks that each classes's exam schedule lines up so that I have 4 tests per week every 3 weeks. Just be sure to keep up with the material everyday and you should be fine.

I found when I took cell bio, biochem 1, pchem, and human physiology last semester that cell bio and biochem overlapped heavily in the beginning when talking about macromolecules and then diverged. Cell signaling overlapped quite a bit in cell bio and human physiology, and then pchem just sucked.

Screw pchem.

this. I have a mini-finals week every month it seems like.

Since your not taking any labs, I think it will be doable. You can always drop one of those easier classes too.

So true. I'm taking Mammalian Physiology, Organic Chem II, Physics II with lab, Genetics, and sociology. And my professors love to schedule all their exams at the same damn time.

took biochem, cell bio, and comparative anatomy (a lower level course) one semester. It was challenging for sure, its no joke. I ended up getting B+ in all of the courses instead of my usually A- or A. Was I crying over that? Heck no, its doable and I learned a lot because all of the courses overlapped a lot, but just be prepared to study a lot. Its only like 3 months, it will blow by.

You'll be fine

I think its definitely doable. Having taken cell bio last year and biochem currently, I can see that much of the content for each class overlaps in the beginning, like water, proteins, cell resp, etc. I haven't taken genetics yet, but from what I have heard the beginning of genetics also overlaps with the protein and DNA subject matter in biochem as well.

As far as 3 science classes, it is a lot of work but not impossible. I am currently taking biochem, orgo 2, and physics 2 with labs and it is a bit time consuming but it can be handled as long as you keep up with each class as they move along.

I've done this.

2 credit Biochemistry II
2 credit Cell Biology
5 credit Genetics
3 credit cell physiology

Verdict: pick two, and get A's in both of them. Pick 3, get B's across the board. Pick all 4 - B's and C's.

I feel your pain.

I took cell biology, genetics, and molecular biology (3 different classes) all within a single semester. The molecular biology class was heavy in biochemistry. I'm not having a problem with it at all. I think it is definitely doable.
