Taking classes at an easier school

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I took the organic chemistry series at a community college, even though I was enrolled in a 4-year all through college, although I didn't do it to boost my grades. The OChem classes at my regular school were offered late in the day and I had to work in the afternoons, so I took them at the community college instead. The classes, I'm pretty sure, were easier, so it might have helped my grades a bit, but it's not something they won't notice at interviews. I was asked about it several times, and I had an explanation, but it might have hurt me anyway. I imagine it would only be worse if you had done it just to raise your grades and didn't have any other reason to give. Besides that, I took most of my science classes with my boyfriend, and he got about the same grades at the community college as he did at the 4-year, so you might wind up with the same grades, from a school that makes you look worse.
