Hi everyone,

Does anyone know how PT schools look at summer courses? I've taken all my science prereqs in the school year, but I wanted to take some other courses in the summer that goes towards my actual major. I may have one or two semester where I'll only need to take 4 courses instead of 5 during the school year since I'll be ahead due to summer school.

Do you think this would be a disadvantage when applying to PT schools?

I don't see why that would be a problem. I hope its not because I am taking 2 classes this summer. If you are worried call a few of the schools that you are thinking of applying to and ask. Each school is different.

I can't imagine that it would be a problem. I took Chem I and II during the summer and all of the schools that I talked/applied to said that they would be fine. If you are planning on taking a pre-req for PT school then you can call and ask if they will be okay; however if they are only for your major I wouldn't worry.
