Taking DAT July 1st, what batch?

Will make this quick, I plan on submitting my app by June 15, but taking my DAT on July 1st, will I still be considered an early applicant? Also what batch will I be in? Any replies will be helpful, I am an non traditional applicant, little worried....

Good question, I am in a similar situation.

You will still be first batch if you submit everything else. When you take your DAT, email each school you apply to and ask if you can send them an unofficial copy of your scores to be considered until your official copy gets there. It also gives you a chance to talk to the school.

This was my situation last year... I submitted everything first week of June and was first batch, and then when the scores arrived they mailed them out. Hope this helps!

You get a printout of your DAT scores immediately after you finish the exam that gets embossed by the Prometric staff. This is the unofficial score report.

I took the DAT July 3rd of the previous cycle and believe I was in the 2nd batch. Those first few weeks are usually verification/application mailing. As long as you have your application verified before the day you take your DAT (submit your app. to 1+ school) you shouldn't have any worries.

PS: Schools actually get a PDF copy of your application right when you submit, so the batches have almost become meaningless. Other than the schools having a hard copy, which is often useless.

the first batch is usually sent out... 3rd week of June. and they sent out batches once a week afterwards (usually on fridays).

By time you take the DAT and the scores are sent to AADSAS, you'll still be around the 8th batch.... IMO thats still early

I took my DAT in mid August, and the scores weren't processed until the end of August. I was completely fine. Stick to your plan, as it won't crush your chances.

I submitted my application on June 20th, took my DAT on June 22nd, and everything got mailed out on July 13th in the 3rd batch.
