Hey guys,

So I have been going at it for about 6 weeks now and I was supposed to take the exam last week but I decided to push my test date into july because I scored a lowly 207 on nbme 12. I took nbme 7 about 3 weeks prior to that and scored a 217 so I was completely bummed/frazzled/wanting to shoot myself after taking nbme 12, not sure how i dropped 10 points. Regardless, I now have about 30 days more to study. I have done DIT once and frankly thought it was a waste of time. I am on my second run thru uworld with my first run averaging around 55%. My plan is to read first aid 3x in the next month since I got really bogged down doing random/timed questions all day long [It would literally take me entire day to do 2-3 blocks but I would annotate FA or make notes] and didn't make a complete run cover to cover run thru it. Also I plan to finish second run of uworld and then do all my wrongs. My goal is a 240. I know I can do it-- I think I let the pressure/stress of studying in the library with the gunners in my class get to me and I wasn't productive. Yeah, so any advice is welcomed. 🙂🙂

no advice from me, just wanted to tell you that I totally understand what you're going through. I posted a thread that is identical to this one just a few days ago, asking for advice. I ended up deciding to reschedule my exam, giving myself an additional 2 weeks to study. But I will have to miss my first rotation.

My school lets us take the skipped rotation in the beginning of 4th year. While I am not looking forward to having to make it up in 4th year, I am looking forward to being able to go into the test center and take my step 1 without wondering if I passed it or not.

I have no goal other than to get at least a 220 on a practice NBME so that even if I have a bad day on test day, I will still pass. If there's one thing everyone keeps telling me at my school, it's that you don't want to fail step 1.

:xf::luck:

DIT is a gigantic waste of time. If you haven't done this already, the one thing that will probably boost your score the most is pathoma. watch all the lectures & do the corresponding questions in a qbank following every lecture.
