hey guys,
i just got back my scores from the june 15th test and i didnt score as high as i wouldve liked too..

so im definitely going to retake in january...i was wondering if i send in my application way before (sept-oct) and then receive my test scores at the end of feb would that make me late in the smp app cycle or will i be on hold until my scores come in? if anyone took the january mcat for last yrs smp app cycle let me know..thanks!

I took the MCAT in April, received my scores in May and was fine applying late, if you apply by February, you will by no means be considered late for SMPs, they receive the bulk of their applicants in April/May when those who applied to medical school start applying...don't worry!

thanks yogreen, that was relieving...didnt want to take another year off incase i didnt get in b/c i was late in the cycle...btw what smp did u end up at?

It was a difficult decision, but I ended up choosing Tufts, I'm excited about the program and living in Boston🙂

cool, Tufts definitely seems like an awesome program. its definitely one of my "top 3" programs, I especially like the idea of clinical exposure at such an early stage along with the rigorous curriculum to impress adcoms with. good luck!!
