Right now, I am a a starting Junior and am wondering this: if I took the MCAT this August to see where I fit in, would that affect my chances of getting into med. school when I apply in a couple years? Also, should I take the test again even if I do well this first time? Technically, my status is a junior but because of the timeline for the classes (i.e. Bio 171/172) and the pre-req's needed to enter those classes, I won't be graduating for around 2.5 years. Sorry, if this has been asked before but I tried searching and didn't get anything. And in case you didn't notice, this is my first thread/post.

Thanks for the advice. I think it would be best to study Ek or Kaplan and take a couple practice exams. The only pre-req I've taken is physics, but I'm taking Bio. and chem. and calc. this coming year so that should help me too.
