So like the title says I am taking the MCATs July 29th. I have been procrastinating finishing my primary application and I was wondering if it really matters as long as it is in before I get my MCAT score back.

On a side note, Do letter of recommendations need to be verified before you select medical schools? Right now I do not have the option of selecting medical schools but my letters are not verified yet, I am not sure if this is normal or not.

Assuming your scores are available ~August 29 (four weeks) and a verification time of around four weeks, I would recommend that you have your primary submitted and all transcripts received by AMCAS no later than the end of July. Submitting earlier won't hurt you, so long as you're still giving your application the attention it deserves.

I'm not sure what you mean by having your letters verified. Letters aren't verified. You should have the option of choosing schools regardless of the status of your letters.

I guess by verified I mean received the letters. I made the entries but the letters were not sent yet. On the select schools tab it just says all the deadlines have passed you cannot select anymore schools.

Letters can wait until after primaries, when you're doing secondaries you should have them in. You're fine mannn
