Hello all,

I am currently in a pickle. I am stuck between taking my introductory sociology course as an only online course, or as a normal class course that meets two days a week.

I am leaning towards taking it online simply because I know it will be easier for me to get an A, and because I will have more time for my other, more difficult, courses (such as Organic Chem I and BIO 1500: Life Diversity), but I am really uneasy because I know Sociology will be on the new MCAT, the one I will be taking.

I want to gather a thorough knowledge-base on sociology now so that it will be easier to study for the MCAT later, but I am told that my other classes are extremely time-consuming and want to make sure I have enough time for them.

Has anybody taken a Sociology course online? Did you feel you were introduced to enough concepts for the MCAT?

Thanks in advance! It is much appreciated!

A ton of med schools do not accept online pre-reqs. I don't think soc is one for most schools yet but be mindful of that for the future

This doesn't really make sense though, because how do med schools know if a course was taken online or not? They are not designated in anyway on a transcript.

Is there any way of them knowing anyways?

May I ask why you are so confident in your answer? lol
1) It's just sociology. You gain nothing by taking this simple course in person (opposed to a science class, for example).
2) It will not be indicated on your transcript that you've taken this course online.
3) It will most likely be easier.
