I took a science seminar class last semester, really enjoyed it, got an A.

I want to take it again because every semester there are different speakers and topics.

Considering that I got an A the first time, if I take the same class twice, does AMCAS count the grade twice, ie I will have two distinct grades weighted into my GPA rather than one ?

I think you should check with your school on that. At my school units stack up for that class. For example, if you 1 unit of seminar class every semester from freshman year til graduate.... you have 8 units of seminar credit (not realisitc because that seminar class is a graduate level class 😉).

At my school, I'm required for my major to take the same seminar for two semesters. Both counted.
