A question for the kind audience here:
I've been doing a gpa repair post-bacc for a while now. Science GPA was low at the start but now at the very least right above a 3.0 since it's saturated with so many credits. I think I have a respectable post-bacc sci gpa at this point. the school near me offers stats electives (they have a stats major program) and so the subjects seem interesting to me especially as I work in research (entry-level). I know math isn't counted for DO calculations but is so for MD. Obviously, DO is the likely scenario for me given my stats (no MCAT yet fyi) so would I be wasting time and money doing stats courses or are they better spent on BCP classes. Thank you!

Even though math isn't considered "science" by DO schools, they still highly recommend that you take at least an intro-level stats course. I'd say take it because the skills you learn in stats class are invaluable. Analyzing and interpreting research results are a huge part of a med school curriculum. It'll help you in your current field and you said the classes seem interesting, so it's a win-win-win situation.

Thanks for your input. Granted, I do have an intro stats from way back in undergrad. These are more advanced courses but yes, the interest is stronger there as I feel like I've had enough of main science courses.
