Okay, so a little background:

I've been a Mechanical Engineering student for a couple of years and did a co-op with a car manufacturing plant. I decided that engineering wasn't my thing and switched to Biology pre-med track because it was always 'this or that'.

Long story short: I don't want to deal with the 2015 MCAT. I was originally planning on taking Orgo I and II this summer while taking a lighter course load in the fall (Microbiology, spanish and a blowoff class), while preparing for the January MCAT. Recently though I've been considering using the summer to focus solely on taking the MCAT and studying my rear end off. This would also give me a chance to retake the test if needed. I would of course try to teach myself the basics and focus on the organic sections, as well as buying 'Organic Chemistry as a Second Language', which I've heard good things about.

I've found a few threads about this but can't find any good recent ones. I have heard that the recent MCATs don't hit the details of organic chemistry hard. Does anyone have experience with taking the MCAT without organic? Any words of advice?

I have heard a lot about Chad's videos on here. You could watch all the organic chem lectures and that should cover all the concepts. If you have any questions you can post them on the forums. As for "Organic Chemistry as a Second Language", it was written by Klein. He was a my professor at my school and all the other orgo professors scoffed at his book for being a hack approach to orgo - quick tricks as opposed to understanding the concepts. If you are not taking orgo make sure you understand the concepts.

I haven't heard of Chad's videos. Could you provide a link to his page or a thread discussing it?
