are you guys applying this cycle? if you are, are your apps in at least?
i'm thinking about pushing my DAT date to late August like you guys but i still wanna stay competitive in terms of getting interviews early. is it too late for that?

Generally a late August DAT is fine. Just make sure you get your app in ASAP!
im taking mine 26th..
I had summer school at Georgetown Med all summer until late July so I studied when I could while in class. Since class was over last week of July Ive been studyin bout 8 hrs a day.. planning on doing the same for the next couple weeks.. what bout everyone else??

been studying since late june (8-10 hours/day)
its been a while since i took any of these courses, so it was almost like starting from fresh. Not worried so much other than bio 🙁
there is so much to know and cover...and most dental schools focus on bio marks i think sigh 🙁(((

I'm taking it on the 30th but I'm not applying until next year's cycle. I've been studying since late May but have only really gotten serious about it since the beginning of July.

Yea, I take it for the first time on the 28th. I've been studying for the last month, taking the Online Kaplan Course. I plan on taking the Topscore and Achiever Exams and a quick look over of Destroyer.
I've already submitted my apps and AADSAS has received all of my information.
Do you guys think I'm good on timing? Does anyone know how long it take ADEA to send scores out to the schools?
Also, do any schools look at application that don't have DAT scores?

I've joined your ranks...well kinda...I'm taking it on the 26th. I was scheduled to take my test next Thursday (8/14), but honestly, I don't feel like I'll be ready by then. I felt like I needed a couple extra days. I was debating because I thought that it may be too late but I guess it'll be fine. I hope it ends up being worth the wait!
I hope you have completed your application... If you don't feel prepared..have you taken any prep courses or purchased any study guides?
The key is to PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE. This is all material you have seen before with the exception of sections of the PAT. As long as you practice with computer based tests you will be fine...

Oh yeah my app was completed a couple of weeks back. The only thing missing is my DAT score. I have the Kaplan book/subject tests, Destroyer (which after going through made me feel like I needed more time to get a better understanding of some of the topics), and the MCAT Hyperlearning series from PR for extra gchem help. I also have CDP and Acheiver. I felt like I didn't want to leave any stone unturned and wanted to utilize EVERY resource I had so I decided to change the date. I'm keeping my fingers crossed👍

That's why too much studying is bad, you think oh it's only in two months ... and then it comes you think why I spent time playing around ...lol
