One of the secondary essays for University of Maryland is, "describe your most important exposure to clinical medicine". I talked about this in my personal statement...should I try and come up with another experience or can I use the one I mentioned in my PS...This one experience truly was my most important exposure (it was my first and the one that really got me into medicine) and it is so much easier to write about than anything else.

Thanks in advance!

if you can describe it in more detail than it was in your PS go for it..

You can use the same same general experience, but hit it from a different angle, find a new way to write about it & augment your personal statement. And try to avoid coming off as too one-dimensional; you don't want to leave them thinking that you've only had this one experience in your life, and if not for that you'd be an actuary or something. In real life, you're more multifaceted than that (but alas, essay prompts require some brevity).
