Ok break down time peeps: 😎
Perceptual ability: 16 🙁
Quantitative Reasoning: 30 😛
Reading comprehension: 22 😱
Biology: 16 😱😱
General Chemistry: 23
Organic Chemistry: 27
TS: 21
AA: 23
Perceptual Ability: Not actually surprised by this score, I probably got 40-50% on Keyholes, I skipped all TFE (marked each one) I knew I was just going to waste my time because I didnt study for this at all.
The angles werent too bad use Rapid eye technique and you should be fine. And of course use the answer choices in your favor. The hole punching was harder than I expected, but it matched CDP. A little easier I would say tho. The cube counting caught me completely by surprise with the illusion boxes. IDK if I was freaking out or what but some cubes looked invisible, I mean IDK how to explain wth was happening. Ihad never seen hidden cubes like that so it got me confused. Pattern folding wasnt too bad either, but again I never actually studied for this.
Moral: I probably dedicated 10 hours to PAT, when I should have done more.
Quantitative Reasoning: I was born and raised in Brazil, so math was the least of my problems. There our math was so much harder than anything I ever did in college, so I didnt worry too much about it. I just sort of looked through formulas the night before and I was good to go.
One thing tho: they provided me with the Celsius to Fahrenheit formula, which I thought it was very strange, but hey a freebie is a freebie and I will take it!!!!
AHHH know your trig peeps
Moral: There isnt really a moral here since I didnt study for this either lol!
Reading Comprehension: WOW LOL Im so surprised by this. Let me tell you I was terrified by this section from day 1. Im not a slow reader (my mom is a lawyer and she felt the need to make me read a book every week since I was a toddler, so yeah . Anyways coming back to my fear on this section. I was getting 18-19`s on practice test and I was like you know what, whatever! Thats good enough. I received one passage on hurricanes, which I was like WTF! Lol. It was like reading a childs book. So easy THANK GOD! (wee not really, thank me and mama)
Moral: Make your children read from a young age if they are planning on becoming dentists. It kinda helps.
Biology: WOWWWWWWWW OMG this is the reason of my nightmares last night! I couldnt believe that had just happened! Let me start off by saying I havent taken anatomy I, or II. No Cell Bio, no Biochem. So literally started studying from scratch on those sections.
However I did excel on BIO I, II genetics, microbio and some other bio classes. Earning an A in all of them. Studying anatomy was fun with Craig Savage. I learned so much from him, and I totally recommend that guy even tho my score screams otherwise.
The test: I got the most random questions of life. LIKE WTF! Some of the questions looked like they came from the footnote of the very last page on some 999999999 pages long bio encyclopedia. Lots of plant questions I didnt study for. At least 4! ( I know RIGHT). Got some very easy questions on anatomy which I had learned from Craig, and I know I aced those.
My lowest score on TOPSCORE was 21 in bio, so dont rely on any practice tests for this section, use the tests to test and expand your knowledge, and do not fall short on plants people, THEY COULD bombard you with those like they did to me!
Moral: Pray to god you get questions you are familiar with ( Im an Agnostic so I was already screwed from the beginning).
The chemistries: I never struggled with chemistry in college, got A and B+ in gen chem I and II, and also an A in Orgo. All I did was watch chads videos over and over again and do his quizzes a million times to solidify my knowledge
Now Im doing a shot out to CHAD. (Cool Beans) This man is not only a beast at teaching chemistry, but he is also a man with great character. 3 days before my test, I started freaking out on some Orgo II topics ( Oh I forgot to mention I havent taken Orgo 2 yet, so all the orgo 2 I learned was from CHAD), and my account had expired that night. As a lot of people in here Im broke! So I couldnt afford another penny in study materials and decided to post on the forums if anyone could let me use their account for 1 day.
Another shot out to eggiweggi for being a good Samaritan and offering a much needed help at the time.
Anyways back to chad I guess he saw my post and acreddited my account with an extra few free days. Wow what a gentleman. I will never forget this kind act. ( I know some people dont see that as a big deal), but in my eyes he has done a great thing, given he never met me. I will forever recommend him not only for his altruistic, generous self, but for his unique ability to explain the material.
Moral: Use Chads videos people! I didnt take Orgo 2 and I got the score I did because of him!
Overall Materials used:
*Chads
*Craig Savage Biology Videos
* Topscore
*DAT bootcamp: only test 1 for the sciences
*DAT Qvault: The free tests
*Feralis Notes.
Any thoughts on that Bio and PAT score???? I applied to 20 schools!! And I applied first batch, they were just waiting for my DAT scores.
I have amazing LOR`s, about 200 hours of shadowing, NCAA athlete at my University. Also work 40 hours a week , along with some other **** going for me as well.
