Hey there Quinn. I must admit I've been impressed at how many postings you have on SDN. You're a wealth of input/knowledge to many of us. Thanks.

I'm a fourth year student at MSUCOM. Next year, I will be applying to allopathic EM residencies. I still have two elective rotations left this year, one which can be used for an EM rotation. Is Tampa General's student rotation well-structured? Does the hospital offer free housing to visiting students?

Keep your eye out for a friend of mine that's interviewing at TGH this month. Her name is Teresa Perez. She is an intern at my base hospital, Mt. Clemens General, in Detroit.

Thanks again.

The medical student rotation is not as structed as some of the other programs. I know I rotated through UMD and their student rotation is top notch, you get separate attending-medical student lectures, which is absolutely awesome (as well as private labs!). Great for any medical student, not just those that want to do EM. I did another elective at a PA program and it wasn't structured really. I think the students do like 13-15 8 hr shifts, very flexibile.
