hey guys, i am going to be a p1 at the end of the month and I dropped off a resume to target for a pharm tech/intern spot about a month. they emailed me back a month ago telling me to apply online specifically for their store location and that they wanted to set up an interview. their application didn't work properly and was down, so they told me they would see what as going on. a month later (now), i emailed them again and the application worked, and they said the HR will call me for an interview for their intern spot, not a tech, because I'll have an intern license by the time i start.

it seems like they need to hire more staff because i was able to email a month later and they still want to interview me. my question is, at target, am I going to be interviewed by people at HR and get questions that have nothing to do with the job? or am i gonna interview with the pharmacist and actually get questions about my experience and about the intern position? ive been reading that a lot of interviews for techs at target are more situational based, but shouldnt it be different for an intern? why would HR interview me for an intern position?

Target is planning to layoff thousands of ppl in the coming years.

cnn news. though they didn't specifically say pharmacists.

If you bothered to follow up on the story you would have read that they are laying off people at their corporate headquarters in Minnesota.

I've heard RPh and tech hours are being cut based on some new script count factor (disclaimer: n=2)

I've heard the same. Their new computer system can keep track of everything someone does. From how long it takes to type, fill, and check to even make sure all promise times are met. I'm sure here soon they are going to start telling us how long every script should take (new and refill) and base the tech hours off the weekly forecast.
