You mean TCOM, as in Texas right? The title made me think you meant TUCOM and Western since they're both in Cali.

Per U.S. News

TCOM: 3.52 and 27.6

COMP: 3.45 and 26.7

hmm maybe screening might help me in this case because my dads best friend was on the medical admissions board for the past two years and now he is teaching anatomy and physiology at UCI DO which i heard is the same at TUCOM

UCI does not have it's own accredited DO program, but many of the professors teach at the two DO schools in California. Also, many of the graduates obtain residencies at UCI and many other California hospitals.

uci was originally a DO school.

Also HOD, if this dr. Haight personally picks the ppl for interviews, does that mean only students who interview get asked to fill out a secondary?

I have a friend at Tuoro MI with a 24 MCAT so they do look at more than just numbers.

No, secondaries are given to screened applicants that meet their standards. I'm not sure if they use a machine or someone actually inspects the AACOMAS. However, Dr. Haight hand picks the interviewees from the pool of those who have completed their secondary application.

I c, thx HOD for the info! Do you know if they screen the same way as nevada? Got a secondary from nevada a week ago but haven't heard a peep from MI.

No problem at all. Glad to help.

Though Touro-MI and Touro-NV are both part of Touro University, they are entirely separate entities when it comes to the admissions process. I know individuals who have gotten secondaries from one but not the other, interviews from one and not the other, and acceptances from one and not the other. I did not apply to Touro-NV, so I have not done as much research on them as I have Touro-MI, however, I do not believe that Touro-NV hand picks people like Dr. Haight does. Best of luck.

any advice to someone who's interviewing at Touro-MI then?

Know that they are group interviews. Be sure to listen to others and be respectful. It's one of the things they are trying to test. When it comes to you turn, be vocal and confident.
