Or neither

(now you have all options!)

In reality...both. Unless you have better stats than me, then I'll stick with my original advice of neither

I would go to TCOM because the Chair of Osteopathic Surgery, Albert Yurvati, is there. I have communicated with him a few times, and he stated that he has helped students snag good General Surgery Residencies. Also, in one email he informed me of helping some achieve admissions into cardiothoracic surgery fellowship programs like Cleveland Clinic, Texas Heart and Lung, and Johns Hopkins. He would be a great resource. Just my two cents.

Here is a link to Dr. Yurvati: http://untsystem.edu/news/2011/February/11-02-10-unthsc-doc-hero.htm

TCOM's tuition + fees average about $16,000. Couple that with ~$20,000 living expenses and you're looking at only about $150,000 or so capitalized debt after you graduate.

Not to mention TCOM is a high caliber school, excellent match statistics, and plenty of research opportunities.

Gotta love TCOM.

16,000/year? Even for an out of state applicant? Wow...
