I was just wondering, is a DO letter required for TCOM?

Also, I have a friend who interviewed with TCOM and he received a letter from them yesterday thanking him for the interview. Enclosed was a DO/TCOM book-ish pamphlet. He's freaking out that it might be a rejection heads-up. For those who had interviewed with TCOM, did you guys receive the same letter/pamphlet?

One of the criteria that TCOM tries to meet with its application pool is to find people that are interested in osteopathic medicine. The best way to show that is through shadowing experience and a letter demonstrating how great of a shadower person you were. With that said, I think I answered your question. If you have anymore question pm me.

You don't need a letter from a D.O. to be accepted. I was accepted last year and had 3 letters from MDs

yeah I was accepted I had an interview early september I'm an OSS and I got a pamphlet thanking me for the interview around the end of september I was accepted on Oct. 16 the pamphlet is not a rejection I think they just want to remind you of how good there school was by sending you that

I interviewed last week - no pamphlet yet. I know that they don't require a letter from a DO, although I did have an MD LOR.

You don't need the DO letter.

I recieved the same thing and didn't get in, but I don't think it means anything.

I got a thank you letter and the pamphlet also. I think it is their way of keeping positive aspects of their school fresh on your mind when it is time for you to make a decision.

I didn't have a DO letter and they accepted me. I also received the letter/booklet. Why would a thank you letter and booklet be a heads up for a rejection? 😕

Did anyone who interviewed at TCOM receive a Thank You Letter but not a pamphlet? Did they just forget to enclose mine or does this mean something?:scared:
